For Men

So, how are you doing?

If you and your partner are struggling with an unplanned pregnancy, you may have a complex combination of emotions. You may be feeling sad, confused, guilty, or scared. If your partner has chosen an abortion, your emotions can also be very intense and you may feel overwhelmed with guilt and confusion. Your mind may be clouded with such thoughts as:

 “I feel so guilty.”
“How am I going to support this baby?”
“How will this unplanned pregnancy affect our relationship?”
“I’m not ready to be a father.”
“Is she going to blame me?”
“What if she aborts the child, and I want this baby?”

It is important that you deal with your feelings and emotions so that you may offer support to your partner. She needs to know that you care, and you understand that she is dealing with a difficult and scary situation.
We encourage you both to take the time to talk with someone that can offer advice and support during this time. A Women’s Care Center offers several different forms of support including:

  • Parenting Support
  • Post-Abortion Support
  • Adoption Resources
  • Medical Referrals

Please call our office at 909.628.6848. You are not alone, we can help.

Did you know that fathers can suffer from the affects of abortion? If you are the father of an aborted baby, you may have experienced warning signs of unresolved emotional issues such as:

  • Feelings of rejection or depression
  • Anxiety, shame and guilt
  • Anger and self-hatred
  • Substance abuse and instability in relationships

We would like to invite you to join this group for men who have been affected by abortion.
